Bocce Ball
Vista Silver Star Foundation donated bocce balls to the Senior players in Vista. They meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in Brengle Terrace Park located in North County San Diego, California. The bocce ball court is just next to the Vista Botanical Garden. Although some of the players bring their own set of bocce balls, they need a set especially when more players show up to enjoy the beautiful weather. The VSSF Vice President, Jeanne Wilson is willing to teach anyone who shows up if you are interested. Free lessons. Come and join us!

Exercise Chair
VSSF purchased an exercise chair for the Senior Center gym. The goal was to provide the gym with equipment for seniors who needed to sit while exercising.

Halloween
There was a line dance demonstration held during our Ice Cream event to draw attention to our second fundraiser event, a Halloween Line Dance and Costume Party that was held on October 29, 2021, at the Harding Auditorium in Carlsbad. The venue was fully decorated with balloons and Halloween decors and candies in jars on each table. It looked very festive! The line dancing session was gracefully led by Kathy Indermill, instructor at the Carlsbad Senior Center. There was a costume contest and three best ones were awarded prizes. Pizza, salad, mixed nuts and drinks were served to everyone. There was an opportunity donation drawing, too, with phenomenal donated prizes. Everyone had lots of fund and hopefully, next year will be just as great one too!
